So now that I’m in a groove with my graphic novel gig I’ve had some free time on the weekends to just play around and draw for me again. Here’s something I did this weekend, inspired by a desire to make a children’s book and the song Clouds by Kaddisfly.
Time-warped video of me inking a piece for my cousin. The Superman mythos holds a special meaning for him and his children. 11×17 on Bristol, roughly 2 hours of inkslinging.
Another weekend of meditative brushstrokes to calm the savage soul. Colors and a site redesign are coming, and soonly!
Mondays always make me long for a the simple weekend pleasure of pencil & paper.
I forgot how much fun painting is …
.. and how good it feels to have paint under your nails.
Now I just need to make a section to showcase these, then it’s on to July.
